Litter Reduction Charter Launch & Signing Event

In summer 2023, Bill Godfrey proposed making Brampton the first litter-free city in Canada. His group, People Against Littering, has led numerous clean-ups but litter remains a challenge. To tackle this, the city launched a litter reduction competition in 2024. A Litter Reduction Charter event will occur on October 22nd to promote community engagement.

Celebrating 5 Years of Fletcher's Creek SNAP

The Credit Valley Conservation Authority celebrated the 5th anniversary of the Fletcher's Creek SNAP at Fred Klein Park with nature activities and engagement with community partners. Highlights included educational bird encounters, community involvement in over 345 events engaging 7,520 people, and eco-friendly projects like the installation of a rain garden at Glendale Public School.
